KWSG Starts Enrollment Of 6,613 Phase Two Beneficiaries For NG-CARES Social Transfer Program
Ilorin, Kwara State - The executive governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, has approved the enrollment process for 6,613 for Phase Two beneficiaries of the Social Transfer program. Following the exit of the phase 1 beneficiaries after receiving payment for one year. This initiative, facilitated by the NG-CARES Social Transfer office in Ilorin, aims to provide support to vulnerable individuals across four categories, namely the aged, chronically ill, persons living with disabilities, and the urban poor.
Under the leadership of Governor AbdulRasaq, the Kwara State Government has demonstrated its commitment to improving the welfare of its citizens, especially those most in need. The Social Transfer program plays a crucial role in addressing the socio-economic challenges faced by vulnerable populations, ensuring their access to essential resources and support.
The names of beneficiaries were selected from the existing Social Register (SR) of the state domicile with Social Operation Coordinating Unit (SOCU). The process is expected to be conducted efficiently, with meticulous verification to ensure that only deserving individuals are selected as beneficiaries. Through this thorough assessment, the government aims to optimize the impact of the program and reach those who are truly in need.
