Kwara State Government Settles Backlog Payments For Phase One Beneficiaries Of NG-CARES Social Transfer Program

In a commendable move, the Kwara State government, led by Executive Governor Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, has successfully disbursed four months' worth of overdue payments to 1,690 beneficiaries of the phase one of the NG-CARES Social Transfer Program. The initiative aims to provide financial support to vulnerable individuals and families in need.


The NG-CARES (Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus) Social Transfer Program was implemented by the Kwara State government to mitigate the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on its citizens. The program offered financial aid to vulnerable households across the state, ensuring they had access to basic necessities and support during these challenging times.
