Eid-el-kabir: Odetundun Greets Kwara Muslim Ummah
Hon. Olushola Odetundun, the Kwara State House of Assembly member representing Irepodun Constituency, has felicitated with the Muslim faithful in Irepodun Constituency, Kwara State and across the country on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.
In a statement released on Wednesday Hon. Odetundun congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the Hajj rites and the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir, which commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to Allah.
The lawmaker urged Muslims to use the occasion to renew their faith in Allah, and to reflect on the lessons of sacrifice, obedience, and devotion to God, which are the hallmarks of the Eid-el-Kabir festival.
Hon. Odetundun also called on Muslims to pray for peace, unity, and progress in Kwara State and Nigeria at large, especially in the face of the current security challenges in the country.
He further urged the Muslim faithful to continue to imbibe the virtues of love, kindness, and compassion towards their fellow human beings, irrespective of their religious or ethnic affiliations.
Hon. Odetundun concluded by wishing all Muslim faithful a happy Eid-el-Kabir celebration and praying that Allah would accept their sacrifices and grant their heart desires.
