Ajegunle Community Disassociates from Barrister Obayomi's Election Petition Against Owolabi

Obalaje, and notable Ajegunle citizens reaffirm support for Hon. Razaq Olatunde Owolabi

The Obalaje of Ajegunle, His Royal Highness, Oba Alhaji Y. O. Sanni, along with the Ajegunte Traditional Council of Chiefs and several prominent citizens of Ajegunle community, have publicly disassociated themselves from Barrister Azeez Olaitan Obayomi's recent petition to the election tribunal.

The petition challenges the outcome of the State House of Assembly election held on 18th March 2023, in which Hon. Razaq Olatunde Owolabi was declared the winner.

In an open letter addressed to Hon. Owolabi, HRH Alhaji Sanni emphasized that he and the community leaders had attempted to prevent Barrister Obayomi from filing the petition, believing the election to be free and fair. He further stressed that their support for Owolabi remains unwavering, and they have no intention of joining Obayomi's group in contesting the election results.

Alhaji Sanni reiterated his earlier congratulations to Hon. Owolabi on behalf of the Ajegunle community and expressed hope for a successful outcome at the tribunal. The community leaders also expressed their desire to see a strong working relationship between the Ajegunle community and their newly elected representative.

As the election tribunal process continues, the Ajegunle community's public disassociation from the petition serves as a strong show of support for Hon. Razaq Olatunde Owolabi. The community eagerly awaits the outcome of the tribunal and looks forward to a prosperous tenure for their elected representative in the Share/Oke-Ode state constituency.
