Igbaja people have decided to throw their weight behind all candidates presented by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) starting from the February 25, presidential and national assembly elections.

Our independent findings revealed that prominent leaders of the community held a closed door meeting last weekend in Ilorin to reassure the governor that no election will be lost to any party in the community. The message was equally carried to the first class traditional ruler of the ancient Igbomina town, his chiefs among others.

Moreover, other organs of the community promptly keyed into the project of bringing all candidates as sponsored by the APC to victory right from Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president on March 25. Other candidates that will enjoy the benefits of the high level decision includes, Rep Ismail Kayode Tijani and Senator Lola Issa Ashiru.

As of today, a call for indigenes of Igbaja living in Lagos to join free buses from Ijora in Lagos was seen on all the community platforms citing the government as its sponsor. An unconfirmed source said this development may not be unconnected with the sons of the town currently in AbdulRazaq's government. A call put through to the phone number on the special notice said he has no mandate to grant media interviews.

Prominent leaders of Igbaja have come out to declare support for the ruling party owing to unprecedented attention the government of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq beamed on the town right from his first day in office.

Moreso, the president of Igbaja Progressive Union, Oluwatoyin Alabi was sighted at the campaign venue of Rep Tijani Ismail on Wednesday afternoon when the former campaigned in Igbaja. Though Alabi did not speak but his companion, Toyin Adedayo addressed the gathering.

Igbaja like many others in the state of harmony have been turned around since Governor AbdulRazaq came to saddle in Kwara State. Government is currently working on a road in Igbaja after fixing its water works that had been abandoned for close to two decades.
