Bricklayer Hangs Self Over N40,000 Theft

A 34-year-old man, Iliya Adamu, has committed suicide in Yola South local Government Area of Adamawa state.
Adamu reportedly took his life after he was allegedly accused of stealing the sum of N40,000 eight months ago.
Late Adamu of Kwanan Waya was found dangling from a tied rope to a tree in Girei LGA.
It was gathered that until his death, he was a bricklayer.
He was said to have been accused of theft by his brother in April 2022.
It was learnt that the accusation traumatised him as he kept complaining and denying the accusation leveled against him.
The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, confirmed the incident adding that the command is investigating it.
