Shola Odetundun Commiserates With Engr. Ope Olabanji Over The Loss Of His Mother, Emily Adefunke Olabanji

By Adedayo Said

Hon. Shola Odetundun, APC Candidate for Kwara State House of Assembly's Irepodun Constituency sympathised with Engineer Ope Olabanji, a metallurgical engineer and federal government licenced contractor, over the death of his mother, Mrs. Emily Adefunke Olabanji.

This was made known through an issued press release, where he showered lots of encomiums on the demised Octogenarian who he described as a mother to all.

Hon. Odetundun stated"
The news of mama's passing came as a surprise to me and many of us who have continued to admire her contributions to the society from the sidelines."

"Painful she left us at 83, but the lives she had touched in her lifetime are a witness to the enigma that she was.

"Signposts of her time with us here can be seen in the Anglican community where she imparted wise counsels on many.
Also worthy of mention are the several roles she played within the Igbomina nation. She was indeed a leader without a title.

"I enjoin Engr. Ope Olabanji and the rest of her children, family and loved ones to take solace in the fact that she left them in a better place and they shall surely meet at the pearly gates to part no more.", the statement read in part.

Hon. Odetundun encouraged the philanthropist and political activist to continue building on the good name and legacy she left behind.

Sources say the burial program is yet to be announced even as condolences keep pouring in for the Olabanji family on the loss of their matriarch.
