The Executive Director and Founder of the Re-Orientation Advocacy Foundation of Nigeria (RAN) Charles Olufemi Folayan also known as Asoju Odo today conducted graduation for the beneficiaries of his Vocational Education and Digital Trainings at the Asoju Odo Youth Development Development Center, Ekan-Meje Kwara State.

Speaking at the Event, Charles Olufemi Folayan said, “the Re-Orientation Advocacy Foundation of Nigeria (RAN), is a Non-Profit and Non-Governmental Organization established in 2013 to inspire result-driven moral and ideological reamarment amongst young people and also proffer pragmatic solutions to the challenges that thwart Youth development in Nigeria.

“It is chiefly for this reason and the more critical need to remain ever consistent with the driving objectives of the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 1, “End poverty in all its forms everywhere” and and Goal 8, “Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic and decent work for all” that our organization took on the task of building and equipping the Asoju Odo Youth Development Centres, located in Ekan-Meje, Oke-Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State in 2019 and that of the Abuja in the Federal Capital Territory in 2020.

The Programme Coordinator Miss. Bolanle Oyerinde said, the Center was established to allow young people to have unfettered access to an enabling environment and a good platform to develop, sharpen and hone their skills, find the impetus for creative ideation, imagination and innovation and equally build the right character that would afford them a chance to become resourceful and valuable agents of social change.

“More importantly, given the prevailing economic realities, the emergent need for economic diversification, local content production and development and the pressing concern for managing the spillover of having a massive youth bulge.

Oyerinde said some of the beneficiaries have been trained for one year and others for two years, based on their area of interest and their ability.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke on behalf of others thanked the Executive Director and Founder of RAN Asoju Odo Charles Folayan for the opportunity, support, mentoring and care given to them during the cause of their trainings and prays that God grant his heart desires and provide for all his needs.

One of the parents of the beneficiaries Mr Ajiboye Oyewole expressed gratitude to Asoju Odo for the assistance rendered to their children which he said lifted a huge burden on them.

The beneficiaries who were also given business loan would be under the supervision and mentorship of the organization and a micro-finance bank for at least one year to see their businesses succeed.
