Police: Within Three Months, 10 People In Oyo Committed Suicide
The Police Command in Oyo State has disclosed that no fewer than 10 suicide cases were recorded in the state between June and September 2022.
Adebowale Williams, the state’s Commissioner of Police, stated this during an interactive session with journalists on Wednesday in Ibadan.
Williams expressed concern about the development, citing the large number of people involved.
He stated that three people died in June, two in July, and three more died in August and September, respectively.
Basiru Ayomide, 18; Obed Masoyi, 28; Oladimeji John; Alawode Idowu, 50; and Adebayo Israel, 60 were named by the commissioner of police.
Others were Sikiru Rafiu, Baba Mariam, Osasenage Osamade, 16; Peter John and Abiodun Abdulraheem, 28. (NAN)
