YPP Inaugurates Youth And Students Network In Kwara


The Young Progressives Party in Kwara State inaugurated the Youth and Students Network of the party in Ilorin yesterday. The network is made up of selected members and supporters of the party across the higher institutions and some comunity youth organisations in Kwara State.

Speaking at the inaugural meeting of the group, the Chairman of the Young Progressives Party YPP in Kwara State Mr. Charles Olufemi Folayan said, Though the YPP is for all the segment of the society, the party is the only party in Nigeria with clear ideology and special space and programmes for the youth and women population. 

Folayan urged the youth and students to be deliberate in mobilizing their population, develop a database and carry out sensitizations in their various campuses and communities. He said the student should galvanize their population for "POLITICAL ALUTA" devoid of violence to achieve the YPP BALLOT REVOLUTION in 2023. 

The National Secretary of the YPP Barr. Vidiyeno Bamaiyi, The National Organising Secretary Mr. Williams Moses and the Deputy Welfare Officer Ms. Plangnan Samuel also graced the event. 

During his speech, the National Secretary of the YPP charged the youth and student leaders to mobilize themselves, build their capacity and take over the State and the National Assemblies in the coming 2023 elections. 

Barr. Bamaiyi who was elected as a member of the Adamawa State House of Assembly at 25 and served as the Deputy Speaker twice, said, the YPP is given all the neccesary considerations for the youth and women. He announced that the party slashes the cost of nomination forms of the party by half for people below 40 years and for the women to encourage youth and women participation in politics and governance.

The State Youth Leader of the Party Comr. Badmus Saheed and the former General Secretary of the Student Union Government SUG Kwara State Polytechnics Comr. Femi Ajiboye were appointed to coordinate the Youth and Students Network across the State.
