The National Assembly, after rigorous appraisal of the 2022 Appropriations Act and passing same to the president for assent, embarked on 2 weeks recess to celebrate Christmas and New Year with their families and constituents.

The recess is a lawful short break and forms part of the National Assembly calendar. While some see the recess break as holiday to travel oversees for hangouts others consider it as vacation to pay attention to their families and personal matters.
