Kwara First Lady Recieves USAID Team, Charges On Sustainability Of HIV Care


The First Lady of Kwara State and Founder Ajike People Support Center, Ambassador Dr Olufolake Abdulrazaq received in audience the team from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in her office at the Kwara State Government House, Ilorin.
 
Ambassador Abdulrazaq expressed delight at receiving the team, charged them to continue to sustain the good work they are doing in the care of people living with HIV.
 
Considering the achievements of the state government in health and other sectors Amb. Abdulrazaq called for more support from development partners to move the state forward.
 
While presenting the USAID team the Commissioner for Health Dr Raji Rasak thanked the first lady for the audience and stated that USAID has been working in kwara on HIV management and care with an NGO. The commissioner also highlighted the activities of the visiting team in the state.
 
Earlier, the team lead of the United States Agency for International Development commended the first Lady for leading advocacies on health care initiatives and expressed the willingness of the agency to development partners.
 
The work with Chemonics has been able to reduce viral load on people living with HIV in the State.
 
The first Lady was later named the HIV champion in the state to bolster sensitization on HIV in the State.
 
The event was witnessed by Commissioner for Health, Dr Raji Razaq, Commissioner for Women affairs and social development, Mrs Abosede Aremu, the Permanent Secretary, ministry of communication, Hajia Mopelola Abdulrahman, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health, Dr. Ayinla, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Women affairs and social development,Hajia Afusat Ibrahim.
