APC: Irepodun LG Stakeholders Lament Shortage Of Registration Materials

...Vice Chairman Says 'We are Helpless'

The APC stakeholders in Irepodun local government area of Kwara State have lamented over the scarcity of party's membership registration materials in the council.

Different sources  revealed that Scarcity of registration materials is affecting the smooth running of ongoing APC Membership Registration/Revalidation  exercise in the local government.

Some sources who spoke with this medium, Kwara Reporters under anonymity said the challenge facing with Kwara south senatorial district of the state is lack of registration materials.

One of the source said "We are not giving adequate forms, we don't know where they kept the remaining registration materials and why they are been kept.

''We were given just one registration form (I.e 100 form per unit) while alot of members are being deprive of their right to register.''

Another source said the scarcity of registration forms was deliberate attempt to discourage and frustrate party faithful from participating in the registration exercise in order to hijack party structure.

"All our wards in Irepodun are facing the same challenges. The scarcity was done deliberately." He said.

Mr Sheriff Bayo from Esie Ward said the action was done to disenfranchised the people of the local government due to the ongoing party crisis so as to control the crowd from the region.

All efforts to reach the Irepodun local government APC Chairman to confirm the situation of things in the area was abortive as his phone number was not reachable.

We also spoke with Ajase ward 1 vice chairman Otunba Tajudeen Saheed who confirmed the situation by saying, "The Local Government party executive are helpless on the issue only God knows who are are in charge and their reason to hoarding the items".
