...Royal fm promises fairness in its report

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Community Intervention, Kayode Oyin-Zubair has said the State-owned newspaper— The Herald will play major role in his communication with the people.

He made this known when he paid the Editor-in-Chief of The Herald, a courtesy visit on Tuesday. He said, The Herald has the name, what it needs is a strong support to compete favorably with other national dailies in the country.

The Governor’s aide recalled how The Herald was an inspiration to him and a pride to the State. “The glorious days must return back. We can’t watch this heritage bequeathed us by our founding fathers to rot-away.

“We will provide support for this medium to have Community Herald back. We need it for wider reach. We are equally interested in your online platform. That’s very important to us. Our Mobile App on weather forecast that will be launched in the coming  days is part of our initiatives at driving development through technology. Many of such initiatives are in the pipeline.”

Oyin-Zubair had earlier visited the management of Royal fm radio station where he was assured of sustained support by the station.

Royal fm management reiterated the commitment of the station to grassroots coverage and adequate feedback.

The media tour will berth at Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Harmony fm on Wednesday.
