Kwara Gov't To Commence The Distribution Of Long Lasting Insecticidal Net


The Kwara State Commissioner for Health, Dr Raji Razaq on behalf of the State Government received the team comprising of Society for Family Health (SFH) and National Malaria Eradication program who paid a courtesy visit at the state ministry of health premises to deliberate on the distribution of long lasting insecticidal net (LLIN) and Eradication of Malaria in the State.

Dr Raji commended SFH and National Malaria Eradication program for their strive towards good healthcare service in the state.

He also emphasised on the purpose of the campaign which is to reduce malaria to the bearrest minimum in the state, and that the State Governor His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has put alot of commitment in place to eradicate malaria through the payment of counterpart funding to compliment various partners for their Support.

The Commissioner emphasized on the various Governmental intervention in the health Sector since the inception of the Administration of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq which has tremendously assist the health Sector to provide quality HealthCare Service delivery to the good people of Kwara State.

"This administration paid 82 million naira to facilitate the distribution of Long lasting Insecticide Net complimenting the global partner for their services."

The team of the Society for Family Health led by, Mr John Ocholi appreciated the State Government for the privilege to sensitize and distribute Long lasting Insecticidal Net (LLIN) in Kwara State.

He added that, the exercise will reflect the commitment of Kwara State Goverment to the healthcare of kwarans and this will improve the economic growth of the state. He said Kwara state will benefits up to 2.3million Net this Year.

While Speaking, the program manager, Mr Christopher Dangana appreciated the state government for providing an enabling environment for the campaign to kick start. He explain further on how the exercise will be conducted in the state for better proficiency in the distribution of LLIN.

 He concluded that the training will start tomorrow, 17th June 2020. which will last for 4 days.

Also in the Meeting were the Permanent Secretary, Directors from the Ministry, the program Manager Malaria Elimination Program Alhaji Abdullahi Nagari ,amongst others.
