The All Progressives Congress, APC, Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Tajudeen Folaranmi Aro has advised the Kwara State APC Chairman, Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa to Resign over his comment in a radio program.

Alhaji Aro made this called in a press statement made available to this medium early hour of today, Monday in Ilorin.

The press release in details;

The All Progressives Congress,APC, Kwara State Chapter has advised its embattled Chairman, Hon Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa to resign as the State Chairman of the party if he wants to play the role of the opposition to the Governor of the state, Mallam Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq.

The party, in a statement issued, stated that the position exhibited by Bolarinwa with his comments on the live radio program amounts to a verbal somersault.

The party regretted that, this is more so where the weight of the malacious comments uttered by Bolarinwa transcends that of ordinary party officer.

"The Constitution of the APC is clear on who is the leader of the party in the state, which is the Governor of the state.

"Therefore, it amounts to gross indiscipline and act of anti party activity to pour scorn on the achievements of the state government and wittingly commend the opposition.

"While the message being sent out through the anti state government radio program is clear, it has further exposed the underbelly animosity and mischief harbored against Governor AbdulRazaq.

"Given the blood and sweat that gave us the opportunity of this democratic experience, it is regrettable that Bolarinwa would prefer to protect his selfish ego at the detriment of the overriding interest of the party.

"We advise the Chairman to resign if he wants to assume the position of the opposition to the Governor," the statement said.

However, the party has commended the government for the giant strides in the last one year, urging the AbdulRazaq's administration to shun distraction in her pursuit for a greater Kwara.
