Kwara State Government Takes Free Health Care Service To The Leprosy Centers

The state Government under the leadership of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq today kick-start free medical test and treatment in all our lepersorium center across the state.

The Honorable Commissioner for Health Dr Raji Razaq declare the free medical test and treatment for people living in all the leprosy center to give them the dividends of democracy.

Dr Raji said, most of the affected people have been treated and cure already, but the stigma of the disease makes life difficult for them. He said the Medical Outreach is to check the Blood Pressure,and other ailment that needs medical attention.

He therefore Urges the citizens of kwara state  and philanthropist across board to assist the less privilege around them.

Also speaking, the Director Public health, Dr Oluwatosin Fakayode, commended the present Administration for this wonderful initiative to take health care service delivery to the downtrodden citizen in the state.

He Said the Exercise is to Mark the world Leprosy day in Kwara State,  which the state Government insisted to make impact on the affected people in the state, and he assure that the Medical Outreach will last for a week.

In his Own message, the Tuberculous and Leprosy Programme Manager Dr Rasheed Mohammed , appreciates the  Administration of The  Executive Governor of Kwara State Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq  and the  present Management of ministry of Health for the new building at Oke Igbala leprosy center which is a plus to this present Administration and Damien foundation Belgium.

"Leprosy is a disease that is curable if dictected early. In the past years the affected people have been neglected for long, their children abandoned, no helper. But this present Administration attracted partners for more assistance to the people affected with this disease in the Society.

Dr Mohammed promised to render his best to discharge quality health care service delivery to the people in all the Leprosy center in the state. Starting from Karumo and the train move to Patigi for the Second day.
