Ajike People's Support Group Empowers 500 Women

Not less than 500 women had been empowered by Ajike People's Support Group through her Skilled Acquisition Programme.

The women drawn from  all the 16 Local Government Area of Kwara State were trained on various vocation from liquid soap making, leather bags making, air fresheners, hair cream, cake baking, make up training, tie and dye, and headtie at Dulba Guest House in Ilorin.

According to the organizer of the training Hajia M. Dupe Shiru, the training is to keep the youth and the women up and doing.

"The training is to keep our youth and women to be up and doing, not to remain idle neither be dependant on their spouses/parents always" she said.

During the training the health personnel also carried out free medical tests on blood pressure, and also counselling the participants on how to live a healthy life, taken of good diet, and exercise.

The Ajike People's Support Group is an affiliated group to the Kwara State First Lady Mrs Olufolake Abdulrazaq foundation "Ajike People's Center".
