Olufolake Abdulrazaq Wins "The Most Promising First Lady Award"


The Kwara State First Lady, Mrs Olufolake Abdulrazaq has been conferred with The Most Promising First Lady Award.

Mrs Olufolake Abdulrazaq yesterday evening clinched the award at the seventh edition of the Democracy Heroes And Award 2019 Dinner held at the Transcorp Hilton hotel, Abuja.

The seventh Edition of the Democracy Heroes And Awards themed, "Reigniting The Greatness Of Our Nation" was a classy event which featured several eventful and entertaining activities, which cut across comedy, music, drama and a whole lot more.

The First Lady while receiving the award appreciated the organizers of the event for contributing to the sustenance of Nigeria democracy in their different rights and callings. "I would like to thank you once again for according me this prize. I accept it in the hope that it would further raise awareness and advocacy against pertinent issues that mitigates against the development of women, challenges facing the youths and most especially the wellbeing of our children.

She said: "Permit me to use this medium to appreciate the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where I presently serve as the Director in charge of Economic, Consular and Legal activities for their support in discharging my responsibilities."

"It can be said that the present administration of the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq hit the ground running considering the tremendous impact it has made since assuming office. These feats can only be the product of a well thought out strategy to take Kwara State to the next level."

"Similarly, my office in its own bit too, has been engaging in people oriented programmes and activities to compliment the efforts of the Government.These past few months has seen us putting together a solid foundation, one that can guarantee the sustainability of our impactful and people oriented initiatives."

Mrs Abdulrazaq also thanked her team at the office of the first lady of Kwara State and the Ajike people’s support center for their tireless efforts in ensuring that all the initiatives get to the indigents that they are designed for.

"Distinguished guests, let me use this occasion to appreciate individuals, groups and organizations that has partnered with us this far. Let it be clear that improving our society is a collective task hence I call on all friends of Kwara and other public spirited individuals and organizations that we are open to partnership and collaborations that will improve and benefit kwara and kwarans.'' She added.

Earlier, The organiser of the event King Fajag appreciated Mrs Olufolake Abdulrazaq for her unflinching supports for the brand and he also commend her for selfless services to humanity.

Hon. Owolabi Rasaq, a Honourable representing Share/Oke-Ode constituency of kwara state and the chairman Committee on Health and environment, represented the Kwara State Governor, while her Excellency was accompanied by the first ladies of Edo, Kogi and Borno State, Mrs Zahra Ribadu, Mrs Olaolu Olaitan, Alhaja Gorozo among others. Dignitaries at the event include Senators, House of Representatives members, Ministers, Royal Fathers and some prominent Nigerians.
