Quality Health Care For Our Children Their Right, Not A Privilege - Gov AbdulRazaq


The Executive Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Sunday visited Children Hospital Centre Igboro, Ilorin as part of his continuous assesment of various sectors and facilities to ensure effective service delivery.

The governor who was received by the hospital staff and visitors, listened to them to hear there needs and complains. The staff of the hospital explained that they are faced with different challenges which is as a result of negligence of the previous administrations. They explained further that the hospital is short staffed and their inability to discharge their duties efficiently was due to the inadequacy of equipments that are needed.


They crave the indulgence of the governor to come to the aid of the hospital in that regard.

AbdulRazaq promised to look into the challenges with the aim of proffering solutions to them promptly. He emphasised that ensuring all children in Kwara get an adequate health care service is one of his utmost priority because it is their right and not a mere privilege which must remain so moving forward.

As it could be recalled that the governor visited the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency Headquarters in Abuja to discuss on how the agency will partner with the state to facilitate speedy upgrade of the primary healthcare centers in Kwara state.


Governor AbdulRazaq who promised to lift the faces of the dilapdated infrastructures across the state inherited from the previous administration is leaving nothing to procrastination as he also visited the Area 1 Court which was in a state of eyesore and left unkempt by the last administrations when he visited few weeks ago. The court building is presently undergoing a serious renovation under the new administration as approved by AbdulRazaq with the governor expressing satisfaction with the level of work being done as at now during his visit.


AbdulRazaq whose respect for traditional institutions remains topnotch ended his weekend with a courtesy visit to Alhaji Ahmad Yahaya Seriki, the Seriki Gambari of Ilorin. The Seriki Gambari received the governor warmly and appreciated his visitation while also admonishing the governor not to change his character as he remains the most respectful and responsive leader in Kwara's history known to him. He furthered by commending the good works of the governor and prayed for the success of AbdulRazaq led administration.
