Beneficiaries of Kwara State Governor's Wife Empowerment Kick Over Unfulfilled Promises

Some beneficiaries of empowerment programmes initiated by  Kwara State Governor's Wife, Deaconess Omolewa Ahmed have cried out over unfulfilled promises.

The beneficiaries said Mrs Omolewa Ahmed promised to give 20 women full scholarship at IVTEC and  SME loan between N50,000-N200,000 to 100 people during 2018 International Women Day held at Banquet Hall, Ilorin in March last year.

Some beneficiaries who spoke with our correspondent revealed that the First Lady is yet to fulfill her promises 10months after.

''We went to screening for SME in LEAH Foundation Office at Taiwo Road, Ilorin but they are yet to get back to us. It's sad that the first lady is behaving like politician.

''I feel the event was just jamboree to impress the world through wide publicity given to the event.''
