Gov. AbdulRazaq’s Aide Arraigns Kayode Ogunlowo, Saraki Aide Over Facebook Post

The Special Assistant to the Kwara state Governor on Domestic Affairs, Alasi Obasanjo, also called SOJ, has dragged loyalists of the Former Senate President Bukola Saraki, Lawal Sharafadeen, Arabmoney and Minister of Information Lai Muhammed, Kayode Ogunlowo to court for alleged Defamation of Character and Injurious falsehood.

The case which was first referred to the State CID in Ilorin, the state capital for discreet investigation through a petition by Mr Alasi's Solicitor, Barrister Olasehinde to the Commissioner of Police has been taken to court.

The petition claims that Kayode Ogunlowo was criminally uploaded on his Facebook page incriminating and false statement in an attempt to blackmail and harm the reputation of Alasi Obasanjo with the following caption; SA on domestic affairs, SOJ implicates, "I WANT TOMORROW ASSIGNMENT TO BE NEAT AND DONT ATTACK ABS TOMORROW JUST CAUSE TROUBLES AND LEAVE ASAP " while Lawal Sharafdeen also maliciously posted unconfirmed and unverified WhatsApp conversations to harm to the reputation of Alasi Obasanjo SOJ.

It will be recalled, the Governor's aide has debunked the incident through this medium during 8th years remembrance prayer of Baba Saraki which was held at his G.R.A home in Ilorin.

In a statement that described the allegations as laughable and the propaganda was used to discredit his personality and this current government.

An investigation conducted at the state criminal investigation department in Ilorin revealed that the duo allegedly shared on their respective facebook pages the screenshot of a Whatsapp chat where the governor’s aide is reportedly seen asking an unknown receiver to attack Bukola Saraki and disrupt the 8th memorial prayer for the late Olusola Saraki in 2020.

"The two defendants however, Kayode Ogunlowo and Lawal Sharafdeen are also admitted to bail in providing two sureties and one of the sureties must tender the bank statement of accounts which shows atleast sum of 200,000 as a closed balance," the magistrate ordered.
