Rainstorm: Kwara Firefighters Saves 7 Life In Rescue Operation (Photos)

Kwara State Fire Service command has rescued seven victims of heavy downpour across the state capital. 

The fire service in a "Rescue Operations" across the state capital after the heavy downpour which had destroyed life and properties had rescued seven people.

The Director of the Kwara State Fire Service made this known in a press statement through the Head of the Department of Media and Publicity, Hassan Hakeem Adekunle. 

The press statement in details;

The Kwara State Fire Service has been attending to several Rescue Operations across the state since yesterday's heavy downpour which had badly destroyed many people's life and property.

Part of this operation, was the "Rescue Work" carried out around 23:21hrs today, at Opposite C&S Church Muritala Area, Ilorin.

Where seven able men were rescued well alive, then taken to the State General Hospital (Surulere) for further medical checkups.

This tremendous effort was able to be achieved, as a result of special assistance from the Honourable Commissioner for works and transport, Alhaji Suleiman R. Iliasu in communicating with the appropriate channels for receiving the Victims. 

Others places affected were: Ita Egba and Emir's Road

Therefore, Director State Fire Service Alh. Waheed I. Yakub urged the general public to always play safe whenever they find themselves. Especially during this period of incessant downpour.
