Kwara Contractors Lament Over Unpaid Entitlements


A group of contractors in Kwara state have appealed to the government, under the leadership of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to pay them their entitlements.

The group, which said they are being owed by the state government, called on the Governor to look into their demands as a matter of urgency.

Noting an unbearable hardship occasioned by Covid-19 pandemic, the contractors pleaded with Governor AbdulRahman to show empathy and grant them their request.

The captains of industries revealed that some of the project were awarded by the previous administration, and have long been completed, while the balance of their money is yet to be paid.

Some of the projects include, Kwara State House of Assembly, new Kwara Secretariat and many roads and bridges.

Commending Mallam AbdulRahman for his steadfastness and transparency of governance, they noted that the backlog of funds portend a great threat to their establishment and can't afford to look away on it.
