Makama Debunks Rumour About Guber Aspirants Being Paid Off

An APC stalwart and gubernatorial aspirant in the 2019 general elections in Kwara state, Alhaji Tajudeen Audu, the Makama of Lafiagi has debunked rumours being perpetrated by some mischievous elements that Governor Abdulrahnam Abdulrazak paid off all the APC gubernatorial aspirants in the last election. He said that such an assertion was both laughable and preposterous.

He disclosed this while fielding questions from journalists after the completion of some developmental projects by his Foundation, the MAKAMA INITIATIVE FOR NATION DEVELOPMENT AND SERVICE (MINDS).

He stated emphatically that he, as an individual, did not collect any such payment before, during, or after the election. He said that he ventured into politics, not for financial gains but to fix the rot in the state.

He challenged anyone with credible evidence of such a transaction to make it public. Makama stated that even Mallam Abdulrahaman Abdulrazak has always held him in high regard for his commitment to Kwara state without expecting any rewards in return.

Alhaji Tajudeen Audu, therefore, asked the public to discountenance such allegations because they lack credibility and do not hold water.

On how his Foundation is helping the people at the grassroots, Makama stated that MINDS focuses on helping the less-privileged have access to potable water, quality education, health care, and support farmers and small scale businesses.
