KWSG, Health Practitioner And Need To Engage Volunteers To Collectively Tackle COVID19 In The State

By Muhydeen Giwa

The pandemic, Coronavirus spread is no longer new to all citizens. Thus, it has been creating panic, affecting businesses and economy across the nooks and crannies of our country.

The AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq led administration has put efforts in top gear to combat the COVID19 through the committee created led by the Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi.

Also, it can be recalled recently that the committee with the support of the governor is set to distribute palliative and relief materials to its citizens, among others as against the virus spread causing a lockdown.

While the state health practitioners are taking proactive measures for the pandemic, there is an imminent need to provide them with Personal Protective Equipment; they are the next potential carrier as they treat patients of COVID19. So, we must not endanger them by making them sacrificial lamb.

However, arguably, there are no enough health practitioners that could aid containing the virus spread. Although, no single cause of COVID19 carrier has been confirmed in the state so far; prevention is better than cure, so they say.

Additionally,  to aid and improve collective efforts, it is important the government invites volunteers that are young and exposed to biological sciences as well as online training so as to wholly tackle the looming menace

While, the state continually put efforts in place to prevent the spread, it is very crucial the government also make provision for Personal Preventive Equipment for the health practitioners so as to ensure their safety.

Together, we can keep safe and fight COVID19.
