2020 International Women's Day: Kwara State First Lady Distributes Food, Relief Materials To Commemorate Event



•Commends Her Excellency, Dr. Mrs Aisha Buhari for her Kind gesture towards Kwarans

Her Excellency, First Lady of Kwara State, Dr. Mrs Olufolake Abdulrazaq hosts various groups at an event organized by the office of the First Lady and the Ajike People's support centre to commemorate the 2020 International Women's day event in Ilorin, Kwara State Capital.

It is in the spirit of this event that I welcome you all to the occasion of food and other relief materials distributions. As we are well aware, the welfare of the people of Kwara State is most paramount in the programmes and activities of the Government of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.

"This and other concerns of the indigenes of the State has seen my office and the Ajike people’s Support Center engage in plausible partnerships that will further benefit Kwarans in the areas of empowerment through skills acquisition, encouragement of youths entrepreneurship and leading advocacies to curb drug abuse, gender based violence, child abuse, human trafficking and other initiatives that directly impacts on the people".
Our sincere commitment to the betterment of our people has come to the notice of Her Excellency the First lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Dr. (Mrs) Aisha Buhari, who in her magnanimity through her Future Assured Programme presented the items being distributed today to the State, she said.

The Food items and relief materials which was distributed cut across the nooks and crannies of the state, out of which some where sent to far locations to those who could not make it to the hall where the distribution took place.

Her Excellency commended the First lady of Nigeria, Dr. Aisha Buhari and her Future Assured programme for their humanitarian and charitable works, and on this occasion of the International Womens Day for her kind gesture towards the people of Kwara State.

Other Dignitaries at the event included, wife of the Deputy Governor, H.E, Mrs Alabi, Member Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon Owolabi Abdulrazaq, Kwara State Head of Service, Mrs Susan Modupe, Kwara State Commissioner for Health, Dr Raji Razaq, Commissioner for Education, Ahmed Bisola, Commissioner for Finance, Oyedun Olasunbo, Commissioner for Social Development, Mrs Aremu Abosede, Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Hajiya Saadat Kawu, Commissioner for Water Resources, Hajia Arinola Lawal, SA to the Governor on Women Empowerment, Hajiya Bolanle Ismail, Kwara State NYSC Cordinator, Francisca Oyeleye, Chairperson Civil Service Commission, Hajiya Habibat Yusuf, Alhaja Agaka, Kwara APC Senatorial Women leaders, Various Women and Youth groups and a host of others.
