APC Chieftain, Mashood Mustapha (MM) Becomes Olu-Omo of Yoruba in Ghana

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Sunday felicitated with a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state Hon. Mashood Mustapha on the conferment of Olu-Omo of Yorubaland in Ghana.

Governor Abdulrazaq in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye said: “I congratulate Alhaji Moshood Mustapha and his immediate family on this honour which underscores his philanthropy and convivial nature. It is my prayer that Almighty Allah will continue to guide him to continue his good works.”

Mashood Mustapha, fondly called MM who is a former federal lawmaker would today be conferred with the traditional title of Olu Omo of Yoruba Land (Accra Region) by Oba Yoruba of Ghana, His Royal Majesty Alhaji Hamza Peregrino Brimah (VIII).

Similarly, Kwara State Football Association has Aldo congratulated MM on his new traditional title.

The Kwara Football Association Chairman, Malam Idris Musa said the leadership of the FA considered it imperative to identify and congratulate Alhaji Moshood on his latest acheivement while expressing confidence in his ability to promote the interest of Yoruba race and the whole of Africa.

Meanwhile, Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II, the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi, Esuwoye II, Business moguls and members of the Political class in Nigeria and beyond are currently in Accra for the ongoing event.

The event is holding at Forecourt, State House, Accra with Ghanaian President, Nana Akufo- Addo and Nigerian Ambassador to Ghana, Amb. Femi Abikoye in attendance.

The charitable business man and former governorship aspirant in Kwara state and a Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress( APC) was offered the title which was ratified by the Elders-In-Council to the Royal Highness last year.

The offer was conveyed in a letter of notification presented to Hon. Mashood Mustapha at his home in Ilorin, Kwara state, Nigeria.
