Ilorin South APC Suspends Chairman

Ilorin South local Government chapter of the Kwara State All Progressives Congress, APC, has suspended it local government chairman, Mallam Mansuru Ademola, over alleged acts of indiscipline and abuse of the party’s internal democracy. 

This decision was taken yesterday, 26th of August, 2019, in an emergency meeting held at the party local government Secretariat. During the meeting Comrade Akeem Jaji was appointed as the acting chairman of the local government. 

The local government Executive in a press statement forwarded to this medium, KWARA REPORTERS, stated that Mallam Mansuru Ademola was suspended due to the following allegations;

  • Promotion of factions within the party executives and party members. 
  • Dictatorship, lack of honesty and transparency in running affairs of the party among others. 

The party executive further said "The local government Executive after due consultations with Elders and stakeholders therefore resolved to suspend the chairman to allow for a proper and unbiased investigation to be carried out."
