Eid-El-Kabir: Abolarin Enjoins All To Uphold Spiritual Benefits Of The Celebration
A member representing Ekiti Constituency at the 9th Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Abolarin Ganiyu Gabriel has felicitated with all the Muslims in Ekiti Local Government Area, across the State, all over Nigeria and around the world as today Sunday 11th September, 2019 marks the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir which is equally referred to as Eid al-Adha an Islamic festival to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim to follow Allah's command to sacrifice his son.
"May the Almighty Allah accept and answer our prayers, Grant us our heart desires, make us happy and bless us with good tidings now in this world and in the hereafter.
Taqabalallahu minna wa minkum. Eid Mubarak," Hon. Abolarin Ganiyu said.
He also appeal to all the Muslims faithfuls, not to forget the teaching of Islam, but to imbibe the teachings and values of Islam as they celebrate the festival.
In a statement signed by him personally, Hon. Abolarin Ganiyu, seized the opportunity to congratulate the Kwara State governor, Alh. Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, the Speaker of the 9th Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi, other members of the Assembly and all the good people of Ekiti Constituency, both at home and abroad, as he prayed for progress and stability in the State.
He also felicitated with all the teaming supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC)
“This is an opportunity for us to reflect and pray for our State, Kwara, pray for our dear governor for God’s guidance and good health and pray for all those in leadership positions". He said.
The Eid-el-Kabir celebration kicks off today Sunday. Monday and Tuesday have been set aside as public holidays by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
