Corruption Not A One Man Business, All Hands Needs To Be On Deck To Tackle Corruption - Alhaji Abdulrahman Olayinka Onikijipa

The Acting Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) Mr Ibrahim Magu says preventive measures is the best way to succeed on the ongoing fight against corruption.

Mr Magu make this known on Friday, 28th of June 2019 in Ilorin while receiving the leadership of the Kwara State Chapter of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria who came for a courtesy visit to Ilorin Zonal Office.

The EFCC Chair who was represented at the event by Ilorin Head of the Commission, Mr Isyaku Sharu said " Our duty does not end in arresting and prosecuting people, we are changing lives for good, we must look at preventive mechanism"

The EFCC boss also appealed to the members the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria to partner with the Commission in fighting the menace.

" Fighting corruption is not a one man's business, is a collective responsibility, we collect information from members of the public, Information is key, intelligence is key, You relate with with the lowest, middle and highest, so you get information, I appeal to you partner with the EFCC in the ongoing fight against corruption" Sharu says.

Earlier, The Chairman of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, Kwara State Chapter, Alhaji Abdulrahman Onikijipa praised the EFCC boss for his efforts day and night in the fight against corruption.

Onikijipa said " The Union commends the Acting Executive Chairman of the Commission, Mr Ibrahim Magu for his leadership style since his assumption as the head of the leading anti graft agency in Nigeria and pray God to guide and protect you"

He stated further that " You will agree with me that corruption is not a one man's business because all hands need to be on deck in the fight against the manace and we urged Nigerians to be vigilant and report all cases of economic and Financial Crimes to the Commission".
