Kwara DOS Gets National Sports Festival Assignment

Kwara State Director of Sports, Mallam Tunde Kazeem has been appointed as a member of the Main Organising Committee (MOC) for the 20th edition of the National Sports Festival (NSF) scheduled to hold in Edo state next year.
The Games, tagged 'Edo 2020' will hold between March 22nd and April 1st, 2020, in Benin City, Edo state.
The Committee is charged with the responsibility of organizing the 20th National Sports Festival, the nation's famous multi-sports event which began in the 70s as a biennial competition among the states of the Federation.
In a letter addressed to the Director, who is also the Chairman of the Director of Sports Forum in Nigeria, and signed by the Hon. Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Selcap Dalung, and dated April 18th, 'the success of the Games rests on the shoulders of the MOC'
'I therefore, enjoin you to bring your wealth of experience to bear on the organization of the festival to ensure a successful Games', the letter read in part.
The Committee has since been inaugurated by the Minister.
While reacting to the appointment, Mallam Tunde Kazeem commended the Ministry for the consideration, even as he expressed hope in the successful hosting of the Games by Edo state.
He said that the MOC will pay another facilities inspection visit to Edo state in June, to access the readiness of the state to stage the festival.
