Kwara North Elder's Council Demand Key Political Appointments From APC

Kwara North Elder's Councils in a press statement issued by the group Chairman, Hon. Abubakar Mora Usman through the group Secretary Hon. Manzuma Kawu Abdulmalik has demand for four key political appointments from the incoming administration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the State and Federal level.

The press statement in details;

This is to make public our resolves and also categorically state our choice positions being demanded from the incoming administration of our party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) as it prepares to take mantle of leadership again on May 29, 2019 in Kwara State and Nigeria.

Having renewed the 2019 Elections in Kwara State and the huge sacrifices made by the good, decent and highly respected people of Kwara North Senatorial district that ensured the victory of our party: its peculiarities of massive under development, systematic deprivation of essentials of life and total neglect of our people and places by the past government in Kwara State, we of this neglect council hereby demand the following positions among many others in their order of priorities:

1. Ministerial slot from Kwara State.
2. Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
3.National Working Committe (NWC) Membership of our party National Publicity Secretary.
4. Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly.

It is important to clarify herewith that our Senatorial district gave the highest percentage vote to our party (average of 81%) yet we are not represented in National Executive Council of our party. WHAT IS OUR OFFENCE?

While apreciating the show of support so far from some party Senatorial District particularly on the speakership of the 9th Kwara State House of Assembly, it is yet important for us to clarify and re-state our demands in their orders of priorities as listed above in view of the ongoing politicking and horse trading over the emerging power sharing formulae among APC members and political power blocks in Kwara State State.

Lastly, we hereby re-emphasize the unalloyed resolve support and commitment of Kwara Northerners to firmly stand with our amiable Governor Elect Alhaji AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq as he captains the ravaged ship of Kwara State out of the wood come May 29th, 2019 and beyond.

Allah answered our prayers when we loudly crying enough was enough.

Long live Kwara North!
Long live Kwara State!!
Long live Federal Republic Nigeria!!!
