Saraki: Kwara PDP 'll Emerge Victorious In Governorship, Assembly Polls

Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, today urged his teeming supporters not to be discouraged by the outcome of the presidential and National assembly elections in the state, but should troop out en masse to vote for the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP)  governorship and house of assembly candidates come March 9 elections.

Saraki who was given an heroic reception on arrival at Ilorin International Airport by a mammoth crowd of supporters and well wishers, expressed confidence that the PDP has the number to emerge victorious in the remaining elections.

Addressing his supporters at the Charity House at his Iloffa GRA residence in Ilorin, the Senate President urged his people to close ranks and work in unison for the PDP in the governorship and house of assembly elections.

Appealing to his supporters and other aggrieved stakeholders to overlook wherever the system might have erred in the overall interest of Kwara state, Saraki reminded them that "those you voted for in anger are not your people and cannot attend to your needs as we, who are your brothers will do."

He thanked the people of the state for their support, assuring them that he would always be around to cater for their needs.

He added "I can't run away. My covenant with my people transcends politics. I will never abandon my people. We should not fight. I leave everything to God. I will not fight even with those they declared winnners of the last weekend's  elections. We must cooperate  for the governorship election. Once we do this, we shall win the election."

The Senate President charged his followers to be more committed like the opposition's supporters.

"We should stop internal wrangling. We shall emerge victorious in the remaining election. I'm here to assure you that I shall never abandon you, my people. The people you have voted for are not known to you. We should forgive ourselves and move forward in the interest of our state, " he stated.

  1. What is there to say than to leave everything to God.....so, he can leave everything to God. Can he leave all the stolen wealth he aquired to his people on behalf of God? Surely, that is not possible.
Like ordinary human being with little or no conscience at all we often turn to God when we hit the bottom.

  2. The democratic concretization heralded in with Bukola,s senatorship in Nigerian politics is seen as the final stage to a political crystallization in the Abuja Diaspora.Helas Bukola has missed the opportunity for the much yearning crystallization and his defeat must not be misconsrued as an end to his ambition and the possibility to become a Nigerian Future President as some of us from Ghana and America can foresee after Obasanjo Buhari Goodluck era.Mr Doctor an electoral defeat is more of a lesson than an end in itself and we admre your love for your people and your tenacity of purpose and see in you a potential and dynamic Nigerian President in the making.Long live Nigeria long live African Democracy.

Cleptocracy, robbery and looting are not characters needed to lead a bleeding nation like that of Nigeria that is yarning for freedom from it's oppressors called leaders and the theeming population of it's youths has seen that Saraki has lost the all ideas of what it takes to be young Bukola Saraki can never represent the youth oror it citizens in any standing of leadership in Nigeria or elsewhere again, because if Nigeria must grow it must rid itself of humans waste like Bukola Saraki and Move On God Bless Nigeria My Country.

  6. APC won in a runoff election prior to the general election and we thought it was a mistake. The party won again in the presidential and national assembly elections.pls lets give it to Lai Mohammed. He has done a good work.Apc will still win the Governorship and house of Assembly elections.politicians should learn to be at home with their people not coming to collect votes and running away only to return again for another round of elections. We need to treat ourpeople well.He whose palm kernel has been broken by a benevolent spirit should not forget to be humble.
