Kwara 2019: Kwara APC Crisis Thickens, As Prof.Oba Insists He Won Primaries

With how the All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains made us believe everything about the controversial gubernatorial primaries of the Kwara state APC has been settled amicably.

One of the governorship aspirant under the platform of APC in the state, Prof Shuaib AbdulRaheem insisted on Sunday that he won the primaries.

AbdulRaheem's outbursts came seven days after the widely publicised order by President Muhammadu Buhari that APC stakeholders must deliver Kwara to the party during next year's general elections.

AbdulRaheem, while addressing his supporters at the Ilorin International Airport on his arrival from Abuja, also clarified that President Buhari did not asked them to support AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq who the APC NWC has declared as the party's governorship candidate in Kwara.

Instead, he said Mr President only told them during their meeting with him at the presidential villa, Abuja, to support APC to take over Kwara during next year's elections.

He claimed to have won in nine out of the 16 local government areas in the state and scored overall majority votes in the primaries.

“When we met with President Muhammadu Buhari, we were not told to support any particular candidate. We were appealed to, to support the party and not any individual.

” I’m very sure that justice and fairness would be done at end of the amendment process. I won convincingly in nine out of the 16 local government areas in the state and it is a well known fact to everyone "

Abdulraheem was received by his die hard  supporters who insisted that his "stolen mandate" must be restored.

Some of them vowed  that they would not vote for any APC governorship candidate other than Prof AbdulRaheem.
