Tumultuous Crowd Receives Gobir in Offa, Oyun Communities

A leading Gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Yakubu Olayiwola Gobir (Waziri Hausa), was yesterday shown love by the good people of Offa and Oyun Local Government areas in a unique way.

Yakubu Gobi arrived at APC Secretariat, Offa with his Campaign team, in continuation of his Local Government to Tour of the State, aimed at wooing more members to his side and also to seek the support of party members ahead of the gubernatorial primaries.

Gobir in his speech said, "First and foremost, I want to use this opportunity to thank the good people of Offa for the elaborate rousy welcome given to me.

"I also want to use this opportunity to express my sympathy over the incident of the Bank Robbery that claimed many lives of the innocent people, which included 9 policemen,  pregnant women and many others.

"Indeed, it is a bad experience, but I know, no matter how powerful the people behind this incident may be they will surely face the wrath of God". He maintained.

Gobir further said, "I am here for your support to become the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the coming election. And if given the opportunity, my intention and plan is to tackle the two key artificial problems facing Kwara, which is poverty (hunger) and youths unemployment.

"Many people believe that I am new in politics, but I am not. I am a member of the former ACN which transformed into the APC we have today, and since 2014, I have been contributing to the growth of the party in my own ways; (it is) just that I refuse to partake in active politics, because I am a man of policy who can't play the politics of kneeling down for one self acclaimed leader and also beg for a political appointment.

"I have never in my life have anything to do with Saraki and the moment he left the party, that's when I decided to participate in active politics because the light can never align with the darkness.

"My brothers and sisters; my fathers and mothers, I am here for your support, because without your support, I will go no where." He concluded.
