Bamigboye's Death: Mike Omotosho Commiserates With Kwarans

The National chairman of the labor party released an emotional statement earlier today on the demise of the former military governor of Kwara state and I quote

“It is with the deepest sense of loss I received the news of the demise of Rtd Bri-Gen David Bamigboye, who was the first military governor of Kwara State. I remember the Brigadier with great fondness and cherish the relationship shared. He was an enigma, and a leader Per excellence! He was an intricate and tangible part of the foundation of the educational system of Kwara. As one with thirst for knowledge, it was evident in his accomplishments while he was leader.

He will be remembered for his instrumental vision in the establishment of the Kwara State Polytechnic, The iconic Kwara Hotel and State Library.

His legacies have indeed outlived him and I hope we can all draw lessons from the rare Beacon of light.

To the Family he left behind, my heart breaks for you because there is never an easy way to deal with loss. So while you shed your silent tears, remember all the great things you can celebrate about him and embrace that. I wish you comfort and strength. This is not just your loss but our loss as a State.

I hope we can all rise up and carry on with the vision of this amazing husband, father, officer and leader.

Kwara indeed has lost a Son.
